Leadership, rural studies, librarianship, change, innovation, or any combination of the above. I'm a librarian and passionate about online social networking to help mitigate rural isolation. Social justice is important to me and I think there is opportunity to find where the business, non-profit, and municipal missions intersect to create stronger, sustainable communities. A goal would be a PhD eventually or a challenge that is hard to pass up professionally.
Specialties: Speak at conferences about Web 2.0 & 3.0 technologies. CIL 2008, ARSL 2008 and 2009, MLA 2008, ALA for ARSL.
Recently invited by Gates Foundation Global Libraries 2011 as a panelist for the Peer Learning Meeting in Seattle.
